  • SX150TXRY Tilt Stop Lever

My tilt stop levers are getting hard to move. I do not see a grease point and wish to disassemble, clean, repair, lubricate.

    Items 29, 30, 31 on Bracket 1 in IPC

    Thank you.

OK, prior to posting this, I checked the MMM and see that I probably need to fiddle around in the vicinity of the spring to release the two halves.

Now my question, is it possible to disassemble, clean, repair, lubricate the tilt stop levers while the powerplants are installed on the vessel (under normal or most circumstances)?
If its got teats or tires, you bound to have trouble with it....

    yes.
    its entirely possible.
    pain in the rear.
but do it now while they still move.

      Roger that.
That's exactly what I was thinking, should be addressed now while I can still move them by hand.

      Thanks.

        That wasn't too bad

Once I fashioned a roll pin driver from a drill bit, that wasn't too hard to disassemble.

Of course, now I need some parts. Mainly fresh bushings and a replacement roll pin. Boats.net!
