93 TLRR150 Water Pressure Gauge

Hi,
Does anyone know where to hook up the water pressure gauge on my 93 150?
I have a pro series gauge with the plastic tubing and a brass fitting that screws into the engine, head I guess. The only place I see is a hex bolt or plug that is on top of the head pointing straight up. I figured that was it but it is very tight and I don't want to screw anything up. I am reluctant to force it.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

just be aware that that stainless plug has been in that aluminium block for about 20 years.
you may strip the block threads in an attempt to remover it.
while not quite as accurate you can tee into the tell tale hose.

Yes RODBOLT that is what I was afraid of but I went for it and got it out without any damage. This is obviously the water jacket, water floods out of there with the engine running. The problem I have now is it is showing no pressure on the gauge. Engine runs great, no heating problems and my squirter is real strong. I know some engines don't make a lot of pressure on the gauge. I just hope I didn't go through all of this for nothing.
Do you know of anything I should check?
I haven't put the boat in the water, maybe that will make a difference.

A motor in the water will make a lot of difference in the amount of pressure seen on a gauge.

On my Yam F200 I never saw water pressure at idle from day one. Only when coming up on power would water pressure on the gauge become obvious.

Only Yam spec for water pressure is 11 psi minimum at WOT.
