  • A Lost-Soul Outboard?

I'm trying to find a parts and a workshop manual for my Yamaha E8DMHL 2-stroke, 8hp outboard. Called Boats.net, no luck. Can't get part nos. for it as I don't have a parts manual. Sorry, our boat is in Georgia and I'm in Seattle, so I won't have the Serial No. until later this summer. I did a search on here and found a couple references, summarized by this one: http://www.yamahaoutboardparts.com/f...-e8d-questions.
Searches all over the 'net found a place in Mozambique of all places that specifically mentions my motor: https://yamahamarineservice.com/outb...portables.html, but no luck otherwise. Everything seems to be 4-stroke now.

Can anyone tell me where I might find parts & workshop manuals for this motor? I managed to find the Owners Manual in pdf form, no luck on the others. Hopefully you folks can help.

An E8DMHL was not distributed here in the USA. It is only lost because it was not meant to be here. It has a soul in other parts of the world.

    Notwithstanding that:

Parts catalog can be seen here:

    http://www.yamaha-nautica.com.br/Con...2015180535.pdf

You should be able to get a copy of the applicable service manual from a dealer in the Caribbean. For instance from:

    https://www.hbsmarine.com/two-strokes

Once you know the part number for what you need you might be able to find it at this website. Just use the search function. If not available here then try the dealer in the Bahamas.
