  • Question on proper part for 2007 250 HPDI-Low Pressure Fuel Pump

I want to replace the low pressure fuel pumps in my 2007 250 VMAX. When I went on to Yamaha's website and viewed the schematics, the proper parts number for the low pressure fuel pump is 6E5-24410-04-00. But when I went to order it from Boats.net, it shows the part as "obsolete".

I tried looking around online and a few places direct me to part number 6E5-24410-03-00. When I compare the schematics of the 6E5-24410-03-00, and the Yamaha part ending in 04-00, it appears the construction/internals are different. My concern is this won't meet the specs for my motor as it appears the 6E5-24410-03-00 is constructed differently, and for older motors.

Does anyone know if Yamaha post bulletins on parts that are out of date or have been replaced by newer (possibly improved) parts?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

good luck getting a -04 pump.
    they are made of unobtanium.

we see some on new engines but if you order the -04 pump you will receive a -03 pump.
the -03 pump will work perfectly.
