  • Oil filter wrench needed?

I have a new Yamaha T25LA four stroke outboard that I just finished winterizing for the first time. I had a difficult time removing the oil filter, but was finally able to do so with a strap type of oil filter wrench (that really didn't work very well given the confined area where the filter is located). My question is whether there is some type of special oil filter wrench that is available somewhere that I might be able to purchase. Thanks for your assistance.

What you want is a cap type oil filter wrench.

Just take a filter to any auto parts store and get the one that will fit your oil filter. Similar to the one shown in the link below.
