  • Puzzling?

While winterizing my Yamaha 50 hp. motor, I noticed that when draining the carbs(3), one carb in particular didn't seem to have the same amount of gas in it. The motor has been stuttering and some times quits altogether but starts up immediately afterward. I've been running all the magic potions in it so I don't think it requires pulling the carbs for cleaning. It would seem that each carb would draw/fill the same volume of gas? My thought is that this carb runs out of gas before the others and causes the engine to stumble. Your thoughts appreciated?

Yup, it was a pinched line that decreased the flow of fuel. Thank you to all who attempted to respond.

sounds like you removed the carbs anyway, as that is the ONLY way to access the fuel lines.
they are mounted between the carb body and the block and fed by two fuel lines teed into the 4 carb inlets.
run all the snake oils in the fuel you wish but when they are dirty they are dirty and must be cleaned manually.
