  • plug wires

I have a 1999 Vmax . Trying to trouble shoot intermittent missing mostly at 3500 and higher RPM. Have replaced everything fuel related as well as plugs and battery.I suspect I may have an issue with plug wires . Are these wires carbon core or wire core and can they be easily tested?

can we get a model number, V-max was a standard mo****r for several bass boat models.

The model identify should be on a data plate on the left hand clamp bracket.

Opps, here is the correct # VX200TLRY on the left hand clamp.

I stated in the original post it was a 1999. That was on the label attached to the right clamp bracket saying it was manufactured in 1999. But the left clamp number refers to a 2000 model with the 'Y" .

the wires are a copper alloy and NOT removable from the coil.
you use the secondary resistance test.
the caps unthread from the plug wire and are tested seperatly.
you have a V(bass boat) OX66 that does NOT use CCS.
            its a 3.1L not the older 2.6L.
