  • 2004 DX150 TLRC Fuel Issues I think

    I have a 2004 OX66 DX150TLRC that will run fine above 4K RPMS.

between 3k and 4K rpm’s, she acts as if she is starving for fuel at times and with the throttle steady the rpm’s will climb and fall at times.

In addition, when pulling off of the throttle, it’s as if you cut the fuel supply off all together. As if you run out of gas.

When throttling up from idle, she will hesitate for a second, as if there is no fuel, then take off and run.

    I have replaced:
    - The entire fuel line from tank to motor
    - New primer bulb (Yamaha OEM part)
    - Fuel/water separator filter
    - Low pressure fuel pumps (2)
    - VST Filter
    - the small filter behind the vacuum on the VST
    - fuel filter on the reservoir on side of motor block

    I need some help please.

"T" a vacuum gauge into the fuel supply line and install a pressure gauge to monitor fuel rail pressure. See if anything funny appears on either gauge when the problem rears its ugly head.
