F60 hour meter problem

whoops what have i done wrong ,this motor has only 360hrs when i started working on it and now its showing 3600hrs ,what have i done wrong and how to reset it ,if there is a way ,the old fella is pissed off his near new 2006 motor had only 360hrs is now reading 3600hrs ,how can that happen

are you sure that last 0 isnt a tenth of the hour, like 360.0 hrs..
