  • Leaking hydraulic pipe on 60 Hp Yammy

One of the trim tilt oil line glands will not seal.
I see oil weeping between the gland nut and the oil pipe.
I have checked the condition of the pipe, the flared end, the male nipple in the pipe socket & all looks clean & good condition. I can't see the portion of pipe inside the and nut though.

    Any ideas?

the flared end is a inverted flare, it is possible to over tighten and cause a leak.. if this occurs might have to replace the pipe.. try to remove pipe, clean the ends very good with microfiber cloth,, (lint free) and reinstall only by snugging the flare nuts.. see if this helps.

I have a similar issue. On a 2005 4stroke 250 I cannot get a wrench to get around a flare pipe end on the top of the tilt cylinder. :-( I have even took a grinder to thin the flare 10mm wrench down that just broke the tip of the socket off and the flare nut now rounded on one side of the flare nut that just will NOT move. Is there a wrench or some sort of 10mm wrench that will take the flare pipe loose?? I cannot get a penny between the cylinder and the flare nut!!!! Mailman1
