cosmetics and preventative maint

for my 200's, what is the best way to protect the engine cosmetically? Should I use a silicone spray/lubricant all over the outside after rinsing and flushing each use (Saltwater use)? Wax ever?

Also internally, is there any products good during a flush / after flush which will help?

How about under the hood, should I use a slicone spray or anything periodically?

What are some best paractices?

I wax the cowling and whatever other external areas I can, down to the cavatation plate. Under the hood I use CRC Corrosion Inhibitor (Ace Hardware or most marine supplies have it....).
