Gear housing lower unit F90

The lower unit 2006 F90 gear housing has slightly pitted from salt corrision where the 2 shaft seals go. These are the seals that are directly in back of the prop.

This is in a saltwater environment.

Is there any gasket or silicone that I can use to seal the area between the housing and the 2-seals when I install the new seals.

Maybe force some JB Weld into the pits with your finger tip, let dry and then smooth surfaces with steel wool or other abrasive/polish....
