What gear oil to use in lower case?

I just picked up a '93 8hp Yamaha O.B. and would like to know what type of gear lube to use in lower case. I have access to many types of oils but need to know correct or compatible type.

The type of oil is 90wt hypoid gear oil for marine use. Should confirm this in your owner's manual - don't have one? Go to:

and look at the manual online.
Stick with major brands - Yamaha, Pennzoil Marine, Lubrimatic - most will say something like "lower unit gear lube" or the like.
