  • Engine anode

I removed the engine anode, however only 2/3 of it came out. The anode broke, I can see the other 1/3 but can not reach it. It become corroded on something. What should I do about this?

If it blocks passage inside motor it can cause hot spots/overheat.
Will have to open up to get it out

I wonder what motor is being discussed and which engine anode we are discussing.

        Anode

The engine is a 2001 60 HP 2 stroke, anode is located on the side of the block up high, close to high temp sensor.

Not sure... I guess no problem if you old anodes stay inside this block.
I know if this happen on 50hp 2 stroke will block the passage.
Rod or maybe other can make this clear.

          Good luck

this thread hopping has GOT to STOP.
about the only thing a 60 2 stroke and an F40 share is both have Yamaha silver gray paint.

you really really need to retrieve the broken pieces from the cooling system.
they can and will clog the system.

its also why if your going to mess with engine anodes do it regular and often or not at all.

cant even say both were made by Yamaha, the 03
              F40 was a mercury.
