  • External Rubber Tubing

I have an 03 115 2 stroke and just noticed that an external 1/4 inch rubber tubing that enters the lower unit from the steering cable has been cut/crushed. (I suspect from trimming/tilting the motor) The tubing stops at the steering cable and is zip tied and capped off with a nylon fitting. No fluid leakage is present and the motor has been running fine. What is this tubing for and is it hard to replace. I have a picture if needed. Thanks Mike.

    Hey Mike J.,

That is the tube that you would "extend" and attach to a Speedometer.

      TripleB,
Thanks for the answer, After I posted I did a little more research and figured it was Pitot tubing, I am gonna put a nylon connector at the break and fix it. Thanks again Mike
