milkshake!
Son took the boat out yesterday evening, this morning I noticed on the driveway a few drops of "aquamarine" fluid under the motor (2004 HPDI) I ran my hand along the case and had a handfull of the creamy mixture. I know it is gear oil and water( seen this type if thing before). When I pulled the bottom off the motor( to inspect the impeller, etc) the "milkshake" was only on the shaft up to the bearing above the impeller housing. The inside of the case only had a small amount on the shaft and inside the case around the wheep hole.
I'm getting ready to reseal the whole thing (any ideas on where the mixture is coming from? I know from the lower case but how is it only coming up the shaft? Are the seals around the prop shot?
Any guesses?
