YAF150TLR cuts back, not out occassionally at high speed

The 150 hp is on a Pontoon boat and when driving hard against wind and waves, it sometimes suddenly loses power but continues to run at lower speed. Happens only a few times a year but is annoying, especially trying to get home before a storm.
Thanks for any advice one may offer.
