  • Water Pressure port F250

    Hello,
I'm trying to install a water pressure gauge in my 2011 f250 4 stroke.
What plug do I remove to install the water pressure nipple?
I have for two 17mm headed caps on the back of the engine, is one of those the one??

    THANKS
    /djm

There are F250's and then there are F250's.

It would be helpful to know if this is an F250XCA/UCA (electronic control) or an F250TXR/TUR (mechanically con*****ed).

The connection points are different between the two motor types.

Since you appear to be talking about a standalone water pressure gauge the presumption is that it is the F250TXR/TUR. Here are some data for that model:

Ok.. tried to post a photo but apparently, I don't have sufficient rights yet.

Anyway I do have the same coolant pressure attachment as highlighted below.
So this is the pressure fitting?
It has a clear / opaque line coming from it already - I guess I just need to attach the gauge to that.

What is typical water pressure for one of these engines at say 4000 rpm?

          THANKS SO MUCH..
