I have a 2005 Yamaha 90 hp 2 stroke in my shop that will not start. The stator has been replaced, the trigger / pulser has been replaced, and the CDI box has been replaced. New spark plugs, carbs are spotless, plenty of fresh fuel, turn th key and it just spins. Spark tester showed fire, kill switch was working fine before and even disconnected it won't make a difference.
I am MerCruiser tech, we work on Mercury products mostly, but this little motor is clean and was running when it came in, but only on two cylinders. Top plug seemed to have fire, but would'nt make a difference when the plug wire was pulled off. I am baffled?
