  • No power to engine or trim tilt 1998 Yamaha 115

Having yet another problem with my 1998 Yamaha 115. This am
I tried to start the engine but i got No response. I cannot get the engine to turn. Cannot get the trim tilt to operate.
I check both of my batteries and both of them are fully charged. I checked voltage is reaching the starter solenoid on the back of the engine. What I am unsure about is what could be a common fault that would not allow the power trim to work as well as no ignition. My thought was the ignition switch and or the Killswitch any ideas?

my thought is the main fuse or a bad cable/connection.
the safety or ign switchs have NOTHING to do with trim.

Correct sir. Found the 20 A fuse by the starter motor blown. Replaced it and motor and trim started working. Thx for the help

anyone know what could cause this fuse to blow? is it common to happen on these engines?

          ...

inspect the wire to see if it is exposed to ground out anywhere? Fuses do go bad too if they have gotten wet or exposed to the elements.
