  • cable from motor to battery

I have a 1994 prov 1500 it sunk over the weekend the bilge pump could not keep up with the heavy rain fall. The cable from the motor to the battery was not completly sealed and is gettig real hot when trying to start the motor need to replace. Any idea where I can find this cable

you can use any # 2 cable but yes they factory yammie cables are much nicer and pliable. im sure you can find them at any dealer near you, online sites and more importantly, the host and pro technician of this site, Boats.net. hopefully you got the motor pickled in time, and remember, you can start the motor by jumping from the hot lead on the battery to the hot lead on the starter.also,if the motor completely went under, be sure to drain carbs, turn over a few dozen times without plugs and i would run extra oil, premixed.
1 more hard lesson i learnt was to always drain your oil tankS as you never know if water got in them....as you do NOT want to inject water beyond your carbs.
