  • OX60 shutting down, wont restart for few minutes

I have twin 2000 OX60 150hpTXRY motors. Both start fine, but after running at cruise speed for 10-15 minutes the starboard engine shuts off. No loss of power or sputtering, just instantly off. If I try to restart right away, it turns over fine, but will not start, but after waiting for 5 minutes or so, it starts right up, and runs for a while fine, then off again. This cycle is repeating, sometimes it takes longer than others for it to shut off. I was told this could be a fuel pump relay?

there is a main relay,no fuel pump relay.
could be a lot of things.
you have to test fuel system and ign AT the failure point.

Check for spark when it happens and keep pressure gauge on to see if its fuel

I am getting 13v on the blue wire above fuel pump when I turn the key to on, as well as when running, when it shuts off, it is reading 0.1. After a few minutes when I test it, it is back to 13, and the motor starts right up.

DB - if you go to www.simyamaha.com and search of VST, you'll be able to find a nice tutorial on how to change VST. (at least the tutorial is there for my engine)

you need to learn how and why you use a multi meter.
also learn the circuit and how and why it works.
blue at the pump is pump ground path.
