Outboard mounting height

I have a Yamaha performance bulletin for my boat and specific outboard. It states that the mounting height is #2. There are 4 mounting holes. Is that the 2nd mounting hole from the top or bottom? I'm repowering the boat and want to use the same height.

Probably second from the top.

just ensure that your cavitation plate, longest plate above prop, aligns with the bottom of your hull, you may have to adjust the trim to get it to align,definately no lower. i always raise it one or 2 from there for increased performance, but ensure you have the water flow over intake and no cavitition if you do raise it.
