  • 1994 2 stroke 115, no voltage

Hi Guys, My 115 shut down today. Came off plane for a idle zone and when I went to throttle up I couldn't get over 1400 rpm's without violent shaking. The tilt and trim quit working and the fuel/voltmeter gauge went dead. Once I shut down the motor it would not restart, totally dead. Battery is brand new and has 13+ volts. I checked power wires on the motor with the key on and don't have voltage anywhere, not even at the starter. This leads me to think there is a problem in the harness at the console. Does this sound right and would anyone know just where to start troubleshooting? Thanks.

start at the battery connections and the cables themselves.
Voltmeter should show where you do and do not have voltage which will lead to where the problem is
