  • Yamaha F200 four stroke beeping

My 2008 200TXR motor took on some water a couple of weeks ago, the bottom 1/8 of motor. Had it pulled out, taken for service where they changed plugs, oil, batteries etc. Back in water, running fine and now all the sudden getting a beeping sound about every second or so but continual, but only when in neutral. If the key is in, and it is neutral it beeps whether the motor is started or not. It runs great, same power, same speed, no automatic shut down to 2000 rpms.etc

Any thoughts as to what could be causing this??

    Thanks very much

Probably water in gas alarm, check fuel filter on engine and fuel/water filter in boat for water.

check manual under warning lights and see what it says about your warning system. mines only warn for overheating steady beep sound and pulse beep sound for low oil.
