  • 2009 200 vmax hpdi oil problem

I have a 09 200 with 150 hrs on it. I have the digital gauges on it my problem is my reserve tank quit pumping oil to the smaller tank on motor automatically. I can use override toggle switch to fill tank also my oil gauge on the dash is only reading one full bar and the middle is flashing even when I fill small tank to the top also the motor does go into power reduction when guage on dash goes to only one bar. Thanks in advance I have a tourney coming up this weekend that I really want to fish any help is appreciated

one center bar flashing is the key.
you have either a bad switch in the remote tank or an open circuit on the black or black/red wire between the remote tank and the engine.

if I have to tell you how to test for continuity acrossed a switch or a length of wire.

        bribe your mechanic.
not be mean or short but bribe your mechanic.
should take a competent tech about an hour to find it.

A simple answer like check continuity would have been enough. For future reference not everyone on here asking questions is incompetent or a moron most of the people asking questions on these kind of sites are trying to figure out the problem there self before bringing it to a high dollar dealership which will probably just throw parts at it anyway until they figure out what's wrong.

If you do some searching on this forum on this oil problem you will find very good detailed info that Rodbolt and others have posted.

You asked how to test a switch and wire , so I was thinking the same way as Rodbolt, I just did not post a reply . So do not get upset about the answer he gave.
