I have a 2005 F150 that I bought new in 07, it has 100 hours on it.The plastic gears on the balancer came apart and plugged up the oil pump causing major engine damage. My question is since this is a problem known to yamaha is there any chance that yamaha will help cover repairs.

Probably not, if you bought the engine new and are the only owner possible, they have tightened their belt pretty tight in the last few years.. a 2005 with 100 hours on it, apparently it doesnt get used very much... -
Yamaha does have a consumer phone line.
might be worth a shot.
worst they can say is your on your own.
that balancer hollered like a washing machine the past 20 hours or so.
