  • C50TLRZ lower carburetor problem

The engine had been bogging down on acceleration. I took all the carbs out and soaked them in carb cleaner. I then installed genuine Yamaha rebuild kits. After putting everything back together I went to prime the engine and during the process gas started pouring from the bottom carb. The gas started coming out of what I'm going to call the exhaust port at the top of the carb (2 exit holes pointing parallel to the ground). It then started coming out the main nozzle and into the body of the carb. Does this sound like strictly a float sealing issue or could it be something else?

either the float is wrong, debris in the needle seat or you used the wrong orings under the seat.
how many orings were in your kit?

Kit only had orings for bowl drain plug so I reused float orings. An adjustment to the float height fixed the leaky gas problem. Now onto other problems . . .
