  • 1998 yamaha 115 C115TLRW Aftermarket Tachometer hookup question

I need some info on how to connect an aftermarket Tachometer to the wire harness of a 1998 yamaha 115 C115TLRW. The one I m trying to connect to is a TELEFLEX tachometer. Does anyone have a color coded wiring diagram for the yamaha engine or can tell me what color the "send" wire may be?
Also, i would like to verify the number of Poles this particular engine has. I believe the answer is 12 poles so my TeleFlex tach should be set to 6P. If anyone can verify that i would appreciate it.

    thanks a bunch

yellow is key on 12v and black is ground.

the 10 pin harness would be located where? sorry like i said, this is my first yamaha motor. it is part of the con*****er / key harness or is it straight coming from the motor itself?

10 pin main is between the engine and whatever control box/ign switch you have.
