I have purchased a used F20 4 Stroke engine, Its F20 BMHL but its riddled with following problems.
Very difficult to start, requires 6-15 pulls to get it running.
When it starts n idle, it runs for 3-10 minutes and then suddenly stalls or drops to 10 Percent power .... when we try to speed it up chokes and dies.
Sometimes it starts & runs great but suddenly there is loss of power and it dies. When we try to restart it it gets over with Fuel.
we have to drain the fuel from carb... and 6-15 pulls are required to get it up and running and after 10-15 minutes the story is same.
We tried to get the CARB serviced but to the problem is still there. Water Signal seems to be fine but sometimes it stops and appears automatically ... our mechanic told us
that main water circulation outlet is below the water line so its fine.
Please keep in mind its BMHL, thermostat is taken out because it never too cold here ....New spark plugs but the appear dark, New OIL, Etc ...
What could be the culprit ? .. We don't have 4 stroke OBM mechanics here so its something new for mechanics ... Please help.
