  • Oil injection system bypass

I have a 1987 yamaha pro v 150 outboard motor. The last person that owned it had the oil injection system removed. I took it out the other day and I got an alarm at the controls and the engine went into limp mode. I think the engine thinks the oil tank level is low. How do I wire it to trick the motor in thinking the oil reservoir is always full? The last guy connected the black wires and grounded them also connected the red wires but not grounded. I'm wondering if the black wires needs to be connected to the red wires as well?

I use a zip tie on the reservoir float to keep it up.

I would try that but unfortunately the last guy that had the motor completely removed everything including the oil reservoir

see if you can find the proper wire colors in this thread or look for others.

Could be the oil module or wiring has a problem
