  • Unable to get Cylinder Block to separate

I have a Yamaha 2.5HP 4 stroke that I'm replacing all the power head gaskets. For some reason I'm unable to separate the cylinder block. All the bolts that I can see are taken off but it seems that the crankshaft will not release. I've tried different piston positions and as much force as possible but no go. There's only slight wiggle room around the gasket itself. When I pull up on the top half of the block it doesn't touch the flywheel. It's as if the crankshaft won't release it. The whole power head comes off ok. I have a few bolts in place to hold it down while I try to separate the cylinder block.

    Here's a video:

you have to remove the flywheel and stator from the powerhead.
then remove the powerhead from the frame.
then seperate the crank case halves.
