  • No suction in the water pump

I changed the impeller on my ox66 2stroke fuel injected 250 1993 Yamaha . It seems there is no suction still. After dropping the lower unit I hooked the hose up to the intake and the engine started pissing... I have now reput back together and have the ears on it and still no peeing....what could this be and is the impeller kit for a '98 the same for '93? I have gotten the diagram print out from my local parts store and noticed at the top it's for a '98...

Need to put it in water to test, running on muff style flusher is not a good test for water pump.

You need to remember that the water pump does not SUCK anything, it is an impellor, and as such, only pushes available water along, no water, no push!

in 1993 there were no fuel injected yamaha's.
the first EFI was a 3.1L in 1995.
some of the 3.1L motors dont like running on a flusher.
you may try a duel inlet type flusher.
