  • C115 1995 Carb marking and idle setting

Can anyone tell me the carburetor marking (something like 6R301?) and idle screw setting for the carbs on a 1995 C115TLRT engine?

When I said "idle screw," I meant the pilot screw setting. I want to know how to tune this carb.

I have no idea on settings and # as I do not have a motor like that or the service manual for it, but you need to follow the link and sync procedure in service manual every time the carbs are reinstalled and it will have the specs on the settings in there also.

Thanks. I can find Clymer manuals at the library and will check those out for link/sync and settings.

I'm hoping somebody will an engine or Yamaha service manuals and be able to identify what engine the 6R301 carb is from. It looks like 3 different carbs were used (1991-1993, 1994-1995, 1996-2000) on the C115. My top and bottom carbs are different and I'm thinking that a previous owner put a wrong carb on this engine.

From Clymer manuals, it looks like the C115 engine carb stamp should be 6E512, pilot screw 5/8 turn out.

Other C115 tune-up specs are spark plug B8HS-10 gap 1.0mm, timing range 5 ATDC to 25 BTDC, idle RPM 750 neutral and 650 in gear, full throttle 4500-5500 RPM.

The 6R301 carb is for 175HP engines, has different jet sizes, and uses a pilot screw setting of 1-3/8 turn out.
