  • Prop Nut Torque

    Hey Forum,

Decided to do a little "winter" maintenance on my '05 TLRD 90 HP today. Things such as drain/fill lower unit oil, top off oil tank, spray WD 40 on critical parts (corrosion protection), hit the grease fittings, and remove and clean/grease prop shaft.

Anybody got any idea what the torque specs are for the prop shaft nut?

Yeah it's on page 37 of your owners manual. Torqued to 35nM or 25.8 ft. lbs.

        Hey Ken,

Nope, don't have a manual ..... yet. Heck, the motor only has 20.5 hours on it. Wouldn't think that I would need a manual for awhile

With the Hurricanes and Tropical storms and then Red Tide, I did not have much fishing time this past summer. I have not even had the motor back to the dealer for the "break-in" check up. Probably take it in this spring prior to fishing season.

        Hey Hamfisted,

        Thanks for the info.
