  • 2002 T50TLRA fuel problem

I have a 2002 T50TLRA and it starts and runs fine, but within a few minutes, acts like its running out of fuel and eventually quits. Within a few hours it will start fine and do the same thing.

I replaced the fuel line from tank to outboard connection and used a new auxilary tank with no positive effect. Seems like perhaps a fuel problem, sucking air, not too sure.

Does anyone have an idea of where I might look next.

    Thank-you!

    I also tried

blew out fuel line from connection to filter, replaced inline filter too.

    Any thoughts?

if its sucking air the fuel pump will start ticking like a bad lifter in an old chevy.

You can monitor the fuel pump pressure output and the vacuum it is pulling to see if there are restrictions.

check to see If it helps to pump primer to keep it going

If not it would mean the carbs are getting fuel and you have a different problem

Easy to check compression, spark, and timing.
testing Spark and timing when it dies out would make sure it has spark to plugs

Thanks for the responses! I pulled the tank connection off and stuck the fuel line into the fuel tank. Seems to be fine now... we'll see
