      alcoholic

I remember when I was considering purchasing this boat, that Yamaha somewhere, stated that the ethanol was OK for their engines but you have to be careful about water causing phase separation. (Water in fuel will mix with the alcohol and make it drop out into the water, thus leaving low power gasoline that does not support combustion well)

I have dual fuel tanks and am considering having marine gas in one and auto alcoholic gas in the other. Thinking that I am going to burn cheap gas all day and run marine alcohol free fuel for the last half hour or so to flush the cheap gas from the motors.

Sequioa, do you have comment or prohibitive advice. I'm probably tempting the tiger but if I can save a dollar a gallon on a hundred gallon fill, that should add up over time.

Are the few thousand dollars in savings worth the potential damage to my engines?

      Any additives worth a hoot?
If its got teats or tires, you bound to have trouble with it....
