i just recieved a couple of 200 yamahas that were sunk by wilma, in the box. they sat around with crap inside till today when i broke 1 of them open. and all kinds of crap came out of it. the bearing on the crank for the #1 piston conecting rod left a little blemish on the journal. can it be repaired ?
this is my first outboard rebuild, any pointers.
    thanks Ray

The crank can't be turned down(no undersize bearings availabile). Take it to dealer or machine shop let them look at it maybe they can polish it.

I assume that these 200s are two-stroke, but in any event. If the blemish cannot be polished out you may be able to take the crank to a machine shop an have that journal welded and re-ground. This kind of repair works on four-strokes with plain bearing, but I do not know how it would work with roller bearings.

it would appear that the motors are 2002 the #s are
200 AET from what i was able to find out on the net is A denotes it as 2002 , E for enduro T for high thrust...

i found someone that says they can weld the pits on the journals of the crank and regrind them to factory specs, but i need to find new bearings and i am having trouble locating anyone in the u.s. that knows what the part # is

The parts disk I got only go upto 115 hp and doesn't list any Enduro models. If the rods are stamped 6R5 then it may be the same as engine used in 200TLRW.
