  • am i supposed to flush my engine this way

    i have a 2012 f250 qa and i was wondering if when i flush it with the house bib port on top[ end of motor i should have the motor running or not i have some experience with outboards worked on them when i was younger and my father told me that in his manual it says not to run the engine when flushing with the hose port thank you form looking and the info

    That is what the Yamaha owners manual normally states.

    What, you do not believe what yamaha recommends?

      I have run them that way.
      I prefer to use both the onboard flusher AND a set of muffs.
      takes a lot of water to fill that block.

        take advantage of the new flush connector it was designed to do away with having to flush the old way your waisting your time and water putting the muffs on have some faith in the design its a brilliant system

          Just remember, Yamaha says not to run motor when using that attachment for flushing
