Hello, i got a yamaha 40hp four-stroke '99.
I bought it new and never a problem.. Last year i found out that the power-trim is messed upp. So it all works, upp and down but whit motor in uppside position it falls back by itself. That happens while i cruise around or when i'm chilling in shallow water with the engine cut off. When motor is off and i trimmed it to the max... in less than 30 min it's fallen back to where i started trimming. When i'm going full throtle and playing with the trimm to win some reffs the motor instantly falls back down. When i'm at 1000 rpm maybe in 10 min.
Btw i life in The Netherlands so excuse me foor my poor grammar.
I just need 2 know wtf the problem can be!
I never saw any leakage or whatever. Did i lose trimmfluids?
Trimm still works all the way upp and down, but wont stay upp!
