  • Fuel line clamps

I read on this forum that someone was talking about the fuel line system and the statement was as follows:

"if you cut the original oeticker fuel line clamps you must use the same design as original. DO NOT use standard automotive hose clamps."

Now, I bought this boat used and checked the fuel line and every clamp is the auto type.

    I have 2 questions:

#1. Why can't auto clamps be used?

#2. What is the original "oeticker fuel line clamps"?

on high pressure fuel lines,35,45 and 50 psi, the constant swelling and contracting of the rubber can cause the rubber to bite into the worm slots and cause a loose line.
fuel leaks at 30-50 PSI may not be a pretty sight.
