  • Rising exhaust smoke

Why is there smoke rising from under the cowling at the forward end of the motor ???.

2000 Z200TXRY 200 HPDI 2 stroke This smoke is rising up from the area of the mounting bracket and trim and tilt. It happens at start up and when tied in a slip, with absolutly no wind movement. Does not effect the running of the motor as far as I can tell. Has never fouled the spark plugs. The motor is trimmed up when stored in the slip. Today I *****ed for 5 hours at 600-700 rpm and the motor ran fine, didn't skip a beat. It also runs fine at 4200 rpm to and from.
The smoke can be seen while *****ing only when protected from the wind.
It is not like the steam / smoke that comes from the aft vent in the cowling

Looking for answers.......Thanks in advance Captain Charles
