Malfuntion on gage. Shows 55 m.p.h. at all times. I have pulled the hose off and nothing changes. I have no manual. Just purchased used boat. Could anyone tell me how to correct the problem if possible. Thanks.

If you pulled the hose off of back of gauge and it didn't go back to 0. The gauge is bad

I would also agree that the speedometer is bad.

Anyone else ever seen this problem?

            Just messing with you.

I always get a chuckle when folks reply to years old threads without their being aware of it.
