  • Seat damaged in F50 AET carby

    Hi,

I got told today that the seat where the needle sits into for fuel flow is damaged and that the carby is no good need new one. They are asling for $1000 for a new carby.

Is the seat repairable if pitted or do I need a new carby?

    Thanks in advance
    Dylan

I would take it and the needle to a machine shop.
measure the angle of the needle and recut the seat to a slightly smaller angle.
