  • Fuel leaking out of carby. 99 F50 AET (F50 TLRX)

    99 F50 AET (F50 TLRX)

What would cause fuel to pump out of main nozzle jet?

I have fuel leaking out main nozzle in no1 carby at the top then runs out off the throat and pools at the bottom off the airbox and floods out no4 carby.

What would make the nozzle leak out fuel?

It pulses out not a constant flow.

Thanks for your help in advance

possibly the float level, maybe a cracked float with fuel in it causing it to sink thus overflowing the bowl.. stuck needle or leaking needle and seat, take it apart and inspect the float..

      Thanks for the reply.

Needle is fine so is float. Got told the seat is pitted and throw it away or buy new engine as to old. Can it be repaired? or need new carby? They want $1000 for new carby in Australia.

      Thanks Dylan

they do have machine shops down under.
its kinda like recutting the valve seats on old plumbing fixtures.
smooth cut with the correct angle and its done.
dont take to much off or float height will be an issue.
