  • 25hp tiller steering question

    guys,
i have a 1988 25hp yamaha two stroke tiller steering that is a little tough to steer left and right.
i have tried putting grease through the zerk, but it must have old dried up grease in it.
anyway a buddy at work said there is a bolt that is loosened or tightened to make it stiffer or looser ?
my motor is in the shop right now, so i cant look at it to tell.
just curious if this sounds correct ?
    thanks guys

typically its a 10mm hex with a tension spring located on the port side.
it places pressure on the upper swivel shaft bushing to adjust steering tension.

i have loosened that 10mm bolt, but its still tough to steer.
i have ordered some Kano Kroil penetrant and will spray that into all the crevices and see if it will loosen it up.
