I'm confused. The owner's manual says I've got to suck the oil out through the dipstick tube but the on-line videos I've seen show a drain plug under the cowling. Which is correct??

You have to remove starboard side apron to gain access to drain plug.

I believe that sucking the oil out through the dipstick hole is an entirely acceptable alternative, and is used by quite a few folks, depending on the model and drain plug location and accessibility. Probably a good idea to run the engine until warm and "stir up" any sludge or particles prior to sucking or draining method.

Either way will work. I suck mine out, works great and there is no mess.Originally posted by captainbob View PostI'm confused. The owner's manual says I've got to suck the oil out through the dipstick tube but the on-line videos I've seen show a drain plug under the cowling. Which is correct??
