I know the timing on the cdi box moves when you open the throttle up, but does it move all the way or half way before the cam hits the roller on the carb. rod to open up the butterflies? Is there a measurement or some way to set it? Its on a 1996 90 yamaha

There is a mark on the cam to where the roller needs to sit. It should not open up all the way before opening the butterflies. It should open with the butterflies.
