• 99 200Hp stalling at idle

I have a 1999 Saltwater series 200hp that is stalling when idling. I just had the carbs re-built by a certified yamaha tech. I did notice that I a idling a little low, around 6-700 rpm. When it stals it drops down to 500 rpm and then stalls. Is my idle set too low? Any suggetyions would help. Thanks

Should idle at 700 rpm's in neutral and 600 in gear.

Glenn,
Even at 650 rpm, the motor should not suddenly drop down to 500 and die - try checking the pilot screw adjustment on each carb. On my 2000 C115, the setting is 5/8 turn out - don't know what it is on yours - get yourself a Yamaha shop manual - it will pay for itself.
Good luck ,
