Is there a place of business that I can have my (engine control unit) checked out? Yama dealership says every thing else seems to check out.It's a 2001 ox66 saltwater with new powerhead (not run yet).ECU was from a parts engine and harness did match-up but numbers were different than what is called for.This engine calls for a 65L-85540-02-00 and just how critical are these numbers? The shop didn't have a spare unit to use .My boat is now in storage and I have kissed off the "shop" but they do have my money.Open to any suggestions.Engine runs very rough and smokey and dies.

That part number changed twice but it should run the engine. The only way to check ECU is on the engine
